HONG KONG - The Spanish Miguel Angel Jimenez, 48 years old, assumed the leadership of the Hong Kong Open golf, tied with New Zealander Michael Campbell, to settle at a record 18 holes since Sunday could become the oldest champion on the European Tour.

Jimenez, who won this tournament, scoring for the Asian Tour and the European Tour, on two occasions (2005 and 2008), repeated another round without bogeys - takes two consecutive - and in Fanling can write a new page in history of the sport. The Malaga, now at No. 98 in the world ranking, has 19 titles in Europe, in a career that began 28 years ago in 1982.The next meet on January 5 to 49 years old.
The Spanish, whose last victory was in Switzerland at the European Masters, on September 9, 2010, shares the position with Campbell, another veteran (43 years old), who has been reborn after disappearing from the scene since it was progressively Open champion United States in 2005.
Campbell and Jimenez walk with 10 under par after three rounds, with one stroke the Italian Matteo Manassero, who won last week in Singapore, and China's Zhang Lian-Wei.
But Jimenez is not only to win the Spanish option. Pablo Larrazabal also positioned to decide the title in Hong Kong after its return with 65 shots.
The Barcelona climbed to eighth, only four of the leaders, and tied with American Matt Kuchar.
José María Olazábal, No. 18, and Javier Colomo, No. 21, surrendered their options to win, but not to get a good ranking for the last 18 holes and exciting for Spanish golf in Hong Kong.
Preferred stocks after the second round of the UBS Hong Kong Open, which takes place at the Hong Kong GC Fanling, Hong Kong.
