PGA - European Tour, Jimenez, near a record high in Hong Kong

HONG KONG - The Spanish Miguel Angel Jimenez, 48 years old, assumed the leadership of the Hong Kong Open golf, tied with New Zealander Michael Campbell, to settle at a record 18 holes since Sunday could become the oldest champion on the European Tour.

Jimenez, who won this tournament, scoring for the Asian Tour and the European Tour, on two occasions (2005 and 2008), repeated another round without bogeys - takes two consecutive - and in Fanling can write a new page in history of the sport. The Malaga, now at No. 98 in the world ranking, has 19 titles in Europe, in a career that began 28 years ago in 1982.The next meet on January 5 to 49 years old.
